1). Still a fan of American Idol, or have you changed the channel to watch The Voice? Personally I think the glory days of Idol are over, and have been for a couple of years now. Read this article on NBC about the original talent competition.
2). Another piece of Idol news here. Forbes released its annual article featuring the "Top Earning American Idol Winners". Forbes named Carrie Underwood at number followed behind by the original winner, Kelly Clarkson. See if your favorite Idol winners are on the list!
3). The Olympics are almost here! My favorite winter sport is figure skating. The way these men and women can move their bodies while on two teeny tiny blades is just mesmerizing. Last weekend was the National Championships, and the U.S. Figure Skating Committee selected the three women to compete in Sochi after some controversy. Read about it here.
4). Check out the kindness and dedication to service these Wellesley firefighters demonstrated when they saved a dog who fell through an ice covered pond. Ellen DeGeneres even thought their actions were admirable. Read about how she thanked them here.
5). I want to end this post with this beautiful and honorable tribute to the powerful women of 2013. Bing put out this commercial at the end of December, and is still being aired. I just love this so much, and you have to see it.
