Red Carpet: Golden Globe Awards

Award show season is upon us! Like most women I look forward to seeing the array of dresses and I loved drooling over the men in their sexy tuxedos.  So last night, NBC aired the Globes and once it was over, I had some mixed feelings about the night's events.

1). NBC's production of such a star studded performance was dismal.  They were a mess.  The dining room was cramped and difficult to maneuver.  Watching women in their teetering heels and sometimes large dresses was painful.  There were no aisles, that has got to be a fire hazard!

2). Jacqueline Bisset. Talk about another mess.  You probably have no idea who I am even writing about.  She won the award for best supporting actress in a series, mini-series, or TV movie.  She was in "Dancing on the Edge".  Never heard of Bisset, nor have I heard of her show.  Her speech was embarrassing.  Clearly she was as shocked as we were that she won the award, she spent like ten minutes just staring out at the audience.  You can watch the painful moment here.

3). On the bright side, Tina Fey and Amy Poehler were brilliant.  Both beautiful women who kept the humor going with fabulous one-liners.  Tina Fey was giving a synopsis of Sandra Bullock's and George Clooney's film Gravity, and said the movie was about the fact that "George Clooney would rather float away and die than spend another minute with a woman his own age"... They also jabbed Leonardo DiCaprio when Fey claimed, "And now, like a supermodel's vagina, let's all give a warm welcome to Leonardo DiCaprio". No one was left unscathed by Fey and Poehler.

4). The Best Dressed List.... Always always difficult to decide, for me at least.  So I am going to share with you the celebrity whom I felt was the most striking:
I felt Reese Witherspoon was absolutely stunning in this jade Calvin Kline gown.  She kept this simple and sexy dress the star of the show with minimal jewels.  I loved this look so much because her body looked great and this color was unexpected.  Her hair and make-up were simple allowing her true beauty to shine through.

Other well dressed women included Cate Blanchett, Olivia Wilde, and Kerry Washington.

5. Sexy Men of Hollywood.  DiCaprio. Cooper. Tatum. Damon.

I can't wait to see how these men look at the Oscars!

Overall, I don't think you missed much if you didn't watch on Sunday.  You can catch all that you need to through media highlights.
