Latest Sephora Lust List

I've had a few financial commitments this past semester so I've been doing my best to stay away from online shopping.  However I just couldn't resist checking out Sephora.  Here is my latest lust list and latest purchases from the cosmetic megastore.

This was a hot item during the holidays and was originally marketed as limited edition.  It sold out within a few weeks.  I've contemplated purchasing a single powder, but it is priced at $45.  However the palette is only $13 more, and I get three different powders, while it is a smaller quantity, I believe its worth it.

As you know I am a huge fan of Radiant Orchid, and I love the collection Sephora has put out.  I think its a wearable color without feeling like you are being really daring.

Zoya Summer Collection

Zoya just released its latest collection for Summer 2014 this morning.  I am pleasantly surprised by this collection as it is not filled with neons! The collection is titled Tickled & Bubbly, which is fun and flirty a perfect combination for summer.

Tickled features six cremes (L-R):
Rocha - Folly Red
Wendy - Tickle Pink
Kitridge - Carnation Pink
Rooney - Hollywood Pink
Ling - True Blue
Tilda - Mantis Green

Bubbly features six holographic jellies (L-R):
Alma - Golden Peach
Jesy - Coral Orange
Harper - Mexican Pink
Binx - Purple Orchid
Muse - Mermaid Blue
Stassi - Jade Green

My picks: Wendy, Kitridge, Rooney & Alma
The collection is available for preorder from Zoya.com, and each bottle is $9.

Polish Picks for Spring

My two favorite nail polish seasons are spring and fall.  I'm not crazy about summer, because neons are too predictable and by the time winter rolls around we are tired of warm neutral cremes.  However spring is a perfect time to refresh your nail polish routine.
Here is what I'm loving for spring:

Orangey-Coral

Teal

Fuchsia

Petal Pink

What are you wearing on your nails this spring?

Busy Days!

I am proud to announce that I am officially a member of the sorority (its really a women's fraternity!!) Kappa Kappa Gamma! I was initiated this past Saturday and am so excited for my journey as an active.

With that being said, I have been so busy the past six weeks during the new member process.  So I apologize for the infrequent blog posts!  I promise I will get back on the blogging grind as soon as possible.
Until then, yours truly was featured as a Marist College Fashionista. Check it out here.

Self-Tanner Tips

Its the time of year when women start gravitating towards self-tanner and tanning salons.  My first piece of advice is to stay away from the tanning booths. Stay away, far far away from the tanning booths.  We all know the dangers associated with those death traps... Go for a spray tan if you really need immediate results.  My favorite way to get tan without the sun is through gradual tanning lotion.  It can be tricky, so here are a few tips when it comes to application.

1. Exfoliate and shave before your first application.  This will get rid of flakey skin which will ensure the product can seep into your skin without looking streaky.

2. Wait for the lotion to dry before you put clothes on.  Again, this will prevent the color from becoming streaky or blotchy.  Doing this will also protect your clothes from staining.

3. Apply it it three times a week for the first week you do it, then apply every other day until you achieve the shade of tan you like.  This way you won't instantly turn orange and can fix any spots that look funky.

Currently using:
Nivea Sun-Kissed Radiance Gradual Tanner and Body Lotion

Other favorites:

Natural Glow 3 Days To Glow Moisturizer

All of these are great options that are all available at the drugstore for under $10!
